Trend Micro has announced that it will offer free
installation for all new license sales of its SMB products. According to a Trend
Micro statement, this would consolidate company's position as a vendor
committed to the success and profitability of its channel partners.
Niraj Kaushik, Country Manager, Trend Micro, India and SAARC
said, "As a vendor entirely committed to channel relationships, Trend Micro
has always endeavoured to offer value and benefit to partners. The free
installation support from Trend Micro minimizes the time spent by the channel in
selling our solutions and also helps optimize expensive technical resource
enabling them to focus on what counts most -driving their business
forward."
Commenting on the advantage to customers, Kaushik further

customers satisfaction eliminating many future issues. Further, this program
ensures that even a10-user customer can expect consistent quality support from
Trend Micro."
Earlier this year, Trend Micro announced technical helpdesk
services for its Worry-Free range of products targeted at small and medium
businesses (SMBs) in India. The helpdesk service provides free phone and e-mail
support during business hours to all licensed small business customers and
resellers. For a nominal fee, customers can also avail onsite support.

The activities covered under free installation include
scanning the network for viruses, virus clean up and installation of the product
with current patch updates.
The free installation support by Trend Micro is available in 44 locations
including Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bangalore, Baroda, Bhopal, Bhuvaneshwar,
Calicut, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Ghaziabad, Goa,
Guwahati, Haridwar, Hubli, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kanpur,
Kolkatta, Kottayam, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nasik, Noida,
Palakkad, Patna, Pondicherry, Pune, Raipur, Salem, Thane, Thrissur, Trichy,
Trivandrum, Vashi, Vijayawada and Vizag. Whereas support in non-specified
locations is available on a chargeable basis.
