The Gandhinagar IT Association (GITA) had recently arranged for a three-day
long IT expo.

seminars on topics like advanced networking, hacking, operating system and
Linux, registered a footfall of nearly 1,25,000 people |
Gaurang Vyas, President, GITA said, “This was our second exhibition and we
registered a footfall of nearly 1,25,000 people. The response was very good at
the event this time, and hopefully next year, more people will turn up for the
show.”
“The main idea behind holding this IT expo was to make people aware about the
new technologies and products available in the market. We also held the auctions
for the products from HP, Compaq and Dell laptops, with prices ranging from Rs
12,000-16,000,” Vyas added.
The event covered topics like advanced networking, hacking, operating system
and Linux, and customers enthusiastically participated in the seminars organized
during the expo. People also won lots of discounts and freebies which were
distributed at the expo.
Uren Patel of Vag Infomedia, who had booked his stall at the exhibition said,
“We displayed products like LCDs, keyboards, headphones, etc from Zebronics.
Compared to last year, this year we registered a significant growth in our sales
thanks to the IT expo.”
Supporting Patel's point, Ketan Shah, Distributor, Skyway Computer shared
that the seminar was a big hit among the people this year.
