Mysore in need of IT association
Wednesday, November 19, 2008

Dealers and partners in Mysore are planning to revive the regional association again. Mysore IT Forum has not been very active since last four years. Lack of funds and no serious involvement from members brought the Mysore IT Forum down. At present, there is no association in the region.

Throwing light on this, KS Venkatesh, Ex-VP, Mysore IT Forum said, “Previously, Mysore IT Forum used to conduct the IT.com event every year. It was a successful and grand event at that time. Later we tried adding more members in the team. We invited software companies including L&T and Infosys, but it did not really work out, and people never showed great interest towards it. But now we are planning to bring such association again in Mysore because the business here is growing every year to an average of 40 to 45 percent. It is the right time and people should come with some real issues.”

Speaking about this matter, SV Harish, Director, Raman IT Solution said, “The basic problem earlier was that lots of new people were included in the association, and they never showed active involvement. We should take initiatives to build up the association. Maybe in another three to four months time, we might revamp our association.”
