Confed-ITA will be conducting a channel-vendor meet on April 12, 2008. Around
60 vendors are expected to participate in this event, which will be held in
Madurai. This meet is a relationship-building effort among the channel community
and vendors. Sharing details of the event, S Karthikeyan, President, Confed-ITA
said, “This meeting would be a platform for better understanding between Confed
and vendors. We also look forward to enabling a healthy relationship between
vendors.” Confed is also looking to addressing certain issues like warranty,
VAT, dead on arrival (DoA), and demanding some clear policies. S Prakash,
Secretary, Confed-ITA said, “Different vendors have different policies and each
one would be made more clear during the meeting. We also expect vendors to
set-up facilitation centers in upcountry regions, as transportation of products
becomes a tough task when we encounter warranty and DoA-related issues.” Top
officials from various companies are expected to attend the meet.
“Normally we are not able to meet the higher officials, however this meeting
will give us an opportunity to interact with them. It will further enhance the
relationship between the vendor and channel,” claimed Prakash. The theme for the
meet is 'get together and grow together'.

“We decided to bring vendors together under the same forum and enhance the
vendor-channel relationship, as to have a bilateral growth, we have to
complement each other. Keeping this in mind, we have named it 'get together and
grow together',” informed Muthuswamy, Event Coordinator, Confed-ITA. Confed has
also planned to use this meeting to explore the plans of vendors for this FY,
informed PN Prasad, VP, Confed-ITA. “We are expecting to bridge the gap between
vendors and channel,” he averred. The meeting will see lot of healthy debates
and discussions that would benefit both the parties, informed Karthikeyan.
