This month seems to be a favorable time for many heads of departments in
leading organizations to look out for a change. Anil Philip,
Director-Transaction Business, Lenovo is the latest entrant in the list of
high-profile people quitting the organization following Neelam Dhawan of
Microsoft and Rajan Anandan of Dell India, who quit their respective
organizations last week.
In the meantime, Lenovo has announced the appointÂment of Ramprasad
Lakshminarayanan as VP-Transactional Consumer Sales for India, in place of
Philip. Lakshminarayanan will be responsible for the management and growth of
Lenovo's channel business, spearheading the business development of Lenovo's
consumer brand PCs, IdeaPad and IdeaCentre, and developing the consumer sales
network across the country.
Speaking about the announcement, Amar Babu, MD, Lenovo India said, "Ramprasad
brings with him almost two decades of rich experience in the transactional
business space."
Prior to joining Lenovo, Lakshminarayanan was the Associate VP at HCL
Infosystems Ltd. He has over 19 years of experience in handling channel,
distribution and direct account business in HCL Infosystems.
