ProCurve event held in Mumbai

ProCurve organized its 'next-generation event at Le Royal Meridan, Andheri on Nov 29. A similar event was organized in Bangalore and Delhi on Nov 28 and Dec 1 respectively. Along with the discussion of the existing business strategy of the company, four new products were launched on the eve.

The new launches in the event were ProCurve switch 8100fl series, ProCurve switch 2600-8-PWR with Gigabit uplink, ProCurve mobility manager 1.0 and ProCurve identity driven manager 2.0. Mak Chin Wah, Sales Manager, ProCurve Networking by HP, SEA and India and Tan Kwong Hui, Technical Consultant, ProCurve Networking by HP, SEA and India, were also present in the event.

The participants included the channel partners, IT managers and IT administrators of different companies. The event was marked by the discussion of worldwide presence of ProCurve networking products and the changing trend of networking. According to a company source, ProCurve would presently focus on the enterprise segment alone as the product line basically comprise of the high-end networking products.

The event was organized mainly to increase the visibility of the ProCurve products. The company source informed, "We have got a huge response from these events. In fact at Bangalore, where over 100 participants were present, we closed a good number of deals."
